The choir I sing with, Vox Holloway, will be performing Faure's Requiem on April 6th. We have a small and strong tenor and bass section, but could really do with some more men for this beautiful piece.
Rehearsals are 7.30-10 on Tuesday evenings at St Luke's church, Hillmarton Road, near Holloway Prison.
You don't have to be able to read music as there are other learning resources available. The choir is incredibly friendly and welcoming - we perform an eclectic repertoire, and for many people it is the first choir they have ever sung with, so there's no pressure.
Why not come along on a Tuesday evening in January and give it a try, or private message me if you'd like more information.

Why do so many choirs rehearse on a Tuesday ?
I'd love to but it conflicts with TCC.
I've even got the music
Have you tried the "Need choral singers? Ask here" group on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/groups/201001629937184/?fref=ts
At Music on the Ladder we've had considerable success with that group. Just make sure you follow all the rules about what your post needs to include or it will be taken down.
I'll have an ask around singing male friends for you as well.
