Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A huge thank you to Ant, Petra, Julie, Ali and Julie's friend who led lantern making workshops this weekend. Dave kindly opened his doors at the Salisbury for everyone yesterday and South Harringay Junior School hosted us today at Harringay Market. There have been some beautiful creations, with over 230 lanterns being made in one weekend. Well done!

Don't forget Harringay Lantern Parade 2013 is taking place next Sunday the 8th December with groups assembling at 4.30pm in Fairland Park or The Gardens Community Garden. Further details can be found here: http://www.harringayonline.com/events/harringay-lantern-parade-2013

The parade will then head to Salisbury corner and then up to the Harringay Christmas Night Market at South Harringay Junior School for mulled wine, mince pies, carol singing and lots of Christmas crafts. The night market is open 5-8pm. See you there!

Forgot to also thank Sally who helped out for hours today and for the 2nd year in a row! Thank you

Yes, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who organised and helped out at the workshops. We had such a fab time making our lanterns and can hardly wait for the parade next week. What an amazing event to have in our community.

We really do owe a huge debt to this fabulous five. It's definitely starting to look as if they've given us a tradition that will keep on going.

Thank you we had a great time making our lanterns!

I'd like to add to the thanks to all who organised the event. Although not there my daughter and husband went and I heard there was a great turnout - the materials provided were great - we are looking forward to participating in the lantern procession with the resulting creation!
