Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Not long to go now, the lantern making workshops are this Saturday and Sunday, the parade and night market the following Sunday.

Things are looking good, thanks to all those who've been helping make the lantern lights and preparing for the lantern making workshops, and there's a great selection of stalls for the market, lots of hot food and Christmas crafty type stalls will be there, a brass band, and choir to sing carols.

We do still need some help with a few things though:

Gazebos: Does any one have any gazebos they could lend us for the night market on Sunday the 8th?

Mains and especially battery powered lights: eg camping light type things to light up the stalls under the gazebos.

Festive and fairy lights. Mains and especially battery powered ones suitable to be used outdoors to decorate the market area.

Father Christmas: Would some one dress up as a Father Christmas and wander around saying ho ho ho handing out sweets?

Any general helpers: could you come along before and/or after the market on Sunday the 8th to help with tables, lights, gazebos, etc type stuff.

If you can help with any of these let me know - ant.elder@gmail.com or 07908 674 013.

Thanks!

Hi Ant

Would it be possible to post the timings of the various events please (Salisbury lantern making, market lantern making, lantern procession, and night market).  Also, will there be a Christmas tree outside the Salisbury this year? Will the procession end in the Christmas lights on Green Lanes being turned on?

Many thanks

Priya

Thanks. Answered all my questions perfectly.
Priya

and is it possible to have the route for the parade as well?

thanks

Hi Tonie,

Just in case you need further details of the parade meeting points there are two options:

Fairland Park is in between Fairfax Rd and Falkland Rd at the Wightman Rd end.

The Gardens Community Garden is on Doncaster Gardens off Stanhope Gardens - N4

Then heading to Salisbury corner then to South Harringay Junior School for the night market.

See you then!
