I think it would be fairer to say that the refuse collection isn't polular in Haringey, but I think it is hard to determine what is Veolia's fault and what is Haringey's fault following its changes to the refuse collection.

I had to complain to Veolia last week about the amount of dog turds on the stretch of Whightman Rd between Lothair South and Cavendish. I walk up and down that stretch 4 times per day and always when the sweet cleaner is there. He never cleans up the dog turds. I have witnessed him on numerous occasions literally sweeping up around them and leaving them untouched. After numerous complaints to Veolia the village manager came down and checked out the turds for himself and admitted it was not good enough. The turds are still there by the way!

That is certainly not good enough. Also, hard to understand how the owners can be so disgusting.

I hate that they have to do that. Dog owners should be dealing with the mess.

I have taken up this issue that dog mess isn't being picked up by the sweeper a couple time with Veolia. I'll follow it up again tomorrow.

That would be great Karen. I really would not have believed it until I saw him sweeping around a turd. I was astonished. In the last 5 days my son has run over two on his scooter. I don't know how bad it is after cavendish rd as I never go past there but I imagine it is no better.

TW, best call in the Turdis. There's 50 years experience there in dealing with time honoured problems ... H&S and training issues not a requirement.

The problem with the turdis is it's seasonal.
