Still in pain I looked it up on line and discovered that its completely food related there are many things I should not eat and plenty I should its a minefield , I am having trouble going to te loo now and am scared to eat anything other than bananas and apples I called my surgery on Friday for help and advice on what to do and got an appointment for the 26th November no help what so ever as I am in pain and do not know what to do to help I don't want to keep popping co dydramol and want to know if I should be taking something like senakot or similar to help me out ?
Any advice would be so gratefully received

Hi Tina,

Sorry to hear of your distress. I drank lots of bone broth particularly chicken broth as it is very healing to the gut when I had digestive problems.  I also started taking probiotics and eating homemade sauerkraut as this contains good bacteria to try and normalise the gut flora. I have sent you a connections request to email you further.

Hi Florence thanks for that I went to holland and barrat today and got some probiotics and aloe Vera also please to message me with anything else thank you
Hi Tina. I'd recommend to try acupuncture and/or herbal medicine for your problem. Give me a ring www.AcupunctureMarina.com
My mum has suffered from that for quite a few years so I appreciate the pain you are in. Very surprised you weren't given more info. Hope you can get an appointment with GP soon. My mums 'attacks' seem to last around 4-5 days and sometimes has to have anti bs.
I do think diet can help a lot and can reduce flare ups. From memory my mum avoids highly processed foods, pastry, white bread, green veg like broccoli and cabbage and also any seeds which can get trapped in the pockets in the bowel. It is a bit trial and error thoUgh and she doesn't always stick to a healthy eating plan.
If you can I would recommend seeing a nutritionist to work out a long term diet plan. I would go for a more holistic nutritionist rather than a medical one as they seem to be more progressive on things like this (in my opinion anyway).
Hope you are pain free soon and can work through this.
