Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Save The Date - Harringay Lantern Procession and Christmas Night Market - Sunday 8th December 2013

Please come and join in with this years Lantern Procession, a wonderful community event to celebrate the coming of Christmas on Sunday 8th December at 4.30pm.

Meeting in Fairland Park, in between Falkland Rd and Fairfax Rd or The Gardens Community Garden (GRA) Doncaster Gardens, off Stanhope Gardens N4 at 4.30pm.  Bring lanterns, torches and warm clothes to walk via the Christmas tree on Salisbury Corner to a magical Christmas Night Market being held at South Harringay Junior School from 5-8pm.

Free Lantern Making Workshops will be held:

  • Saturday 30th November 12.30 - 4.30 in the Salisbury pub
  • Sunday 1st December 11 - 2 at Harringay Market, South Harringay Junior School

All materials provided.

If you would like to help out at either lantern making workshop please message me for further details.

You're welcome to join in even without a child. Would be nice to have some more bigger lanterns this year - come along to the workshops and make a really big one!

Hmm.. It does sound delightful but can I ask if there's any reason it's not on 1 December instead, seeing as that is the start of Advent?....

We wanted to have time to fit in lantern making workshops and they worked best on the weekend of the 1st. Please do come along to South Harringay Junior School on Sunday 1st Dec and make a lantern to celebrate the start of Advent!
