Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

OK. So today, as usual, I went along Phillip Lane onto Monument Way and expected to turn left at station onto Forest Road. Getting to station I suddenly find "Road Closed" sign. So as signage is appalling, what route am I now meant to take to get from Phillip Lane onto Forest Road? Have looked on TFL but no clearer.

Thanks

It's a shambles. Something has gone wrong with the planning, confusion reigns, traffic backs up to West Green.  On Sunday the route to Walthamstow was round to the right towards the shopping centre then bear left, but that may have been rewritten since.  Pity on those who have to do this every day.

Thanks. I have to go that way again today.
To the right, at the end of monument way, and then bear left into ferry lane.
(Though, as ever in London, the best way to get somewhere is not to be driving at all)
That's the way I tired to go. Now there is no left turn into Ferry Lane from Monument Way.

You have to turn left earlier, and go down the road that previously took you towards Broad Lane without having to go the whole way round the island. There are then three lanes, one of those, if not two, will take you up to Ferry Lane.

Now, if anyone can find bus stop E where the 41 leaves from let me know!!

I meant turn right much earlier...sorry looking the wrong way in my head.

(Turn right at the end of monument way - where there's a whole new layout of traffic lights, into The Hale - now you'll be on the left hand side whereas previously you'd have been driving on the right at this point - and then keeping left turn into Ferry lane. One of the complications of giving verbal directions around here is that no one really understands where the Hale ends and Ferry lane begins, or which bit is Hale Road!)

TfL have hidden the new road layout in a file on their website, that shows the new routes of the 41, 123, 230, W4, and 192 buses.

For some reason they're very averse to including clear diagrams and maps in any leaflet they actually push through the door, but here it is:

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/livetravelnews/realtime/buses/Tottenha...

(also poorly laid out, but the second map in each page is the new layout.)

And you can't stop for petrol at the BP station anymore if you're going up Ferry Lane.

We did the other week. Just turned right when we were leaving.

No doubt due to poor signage, or adequate warning before you actually get to the road. It is an area I rarely find myself in, but did read something about it recently on some website or other.  I put it into the back of my mind to remember, but probably by the time I have occasion to use it, it will all have settled down.

I posted on "fixmystreet". The barriers and temporary signs move around constantly and it's dangerous.

well I live inside the gyratory and Broad Lane has definitely had less traffic this week.  This is so needed that I am willing to wait a few months for teething troubles to be fixed.
