Small sewing jobs?
Hi
I just wondered if anyone knows of a local tailor who takes on small sewing jobs. I have a few simple things that need to be done and I could probably do them myself but I really don't have the time. The local drycleaners I have tried seem to charge a lot of money

If you're at the Seven Sisters end, there are a couple of tailors in the Seven Sisters indoor market, above the tube. If you give me a couple of days I can get some approx prices for you. Short ride on the 279 or 259...

There's a tailor on Wightman Road - I forget the name, but it's in the bank of shops almost opposite Jewson.

George's Tailor, about opposite Jewsons. They've altered trousers for me for £5.00 ( Don't ask which way :-(

Yes I have been to George's but they only do men's tailoring and not the little things I need sewn back on

Hill Cleaners on Green Lanes have done a few small jobs for me (shortening trousers etc.) and seemed pretty reasonable cost wise.

Just today I was in a bag shop asking if they could replace a zip on my rucksac! Thanks for this post; I'll try the tailors @Seven Sisters market.
