Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

There's a black cat which has been around for a few years in top half of Duckett Road area. Just wondered if anyone knows who owns it?

I hadn't seen the cat for a few months, but I saw it this week and I've noticed that the cat has some problems with its fur on top of back - some hard matted clumps which will be painful as likely to be pulling on its skin. It's past the stage of grooming out, really needs a vet nurse to clip off the clumps. It may be that it's old and can't groom properly, or maybe painful teeth, so the clumps have built up over time. Anyway I can't get that near enough to it to examine it properly.

I'll post a photo if I can at some point.

Perhaps this is the same cat I saw had been knocked down at the bottom end of Hewitt opposite Tesco Local this morning when I was heading out. I went round the block and stopped by, he/she had already been kindly moved, I suspect by Tesco staff as he/she was in a Doritos box, covered with a bin bag. Sorry I didn't feel brave enough to check for a name tag.

RIP black cat.

How sad. Thanks Will for posting details. Did you happen to notice if it was wearing a collar and if it was all black or any white markings? No worries if you weren't able to see.

The black cat in my area has no collar and is all black. However there are some missing black cats and black and white cats round here, some with collars, so their owners would find any information useful.

The black cat I'm talking about is still alive. So if anyone knows who owns it, let me know. Cat has got 3 hard matted clumps on one side of its back. Thanks.

Good news, I've found the owner! We're going to get him sorted out at the vets.
