Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

My friend is expecting twins in Spring next year. Very exciting!

However, she is having a lot of trouble finding someone to work as a Mothers Helper.

A lot of the nannies she has contacted don't want the work as they prefer sole charge rather than being a helper.

So I thought I might post something on HOL for her in the hope that she manages to find someone.

LOCATION: My friend is based in Muswell Hill.  These twins will be her first children.

HOURS: Working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8am until 6pm

LENGTH OF JOB: IF my friend finds the right person, this job will be for 4 years. It will start from the birth of babies until school years.

PAY: she has a daily rate budget but will provide that on application

DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Preparing breakfast for mother each morning

- Clearing of breakfast dishes, stack and un-stacking of dishwasher, wipe down kitchen bench tops and hoover floor in kitchen

- Make Beds

- Tidy bathroom and the lounge room

- Laundry - washing, put in tumble dryer or on clothes horse and then fold, sort and put away (there will be a lot of this so approx. 2 - 3 loads per day)

- She has a weekly cleaner but there will be a little bit of light cleaning duties during the week mainly dusting, hoover, mopping (whatever is required on the day and whatever keeps the house tidy and in order).

 - Running errands at the local shops (10 mins walk away) EG: collecting dry cleaning, purchasing of nappies, bread, milk and other general groceries & visit to the post office for posting of items and other tasks (this will not happen often and money will always be provided)

- Preparing of dinner.  She usually buys M&S meals so all that will need to be done will be to put the food in the oven and maybe boil some vegetables and then plate the meals ready for re-heating later in the night.

- Helping with bath time.  She will need help with getting clothes and bath products out as well as clearing the bath area after bath time.

- Preparing and cleaning of babies bottles

- Accompany mother & babies to appointments during the day

- Whatever else this new mother may require!

CONTACT:

If you are interested (or know of anyone who is), please make contact with me and I will then provide you with the details of my friend.

NOTE: CRB check & references will be required.

Thanks,

Mel

Hi Mel,

What's the annual holiday allowance and does the employer have a preference for the time of year this should be taken?

DB

Hi DB

Thanks for the question. I will ask. Babies are due in May but as it is twins, it could be earlier. I think she would be keen to have the help around from April - late July. Will check this anyway.
