Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Wanted: Stall Holders & Performers for Hidden River Festival

The multi-sited Hidden River Festival marks the 400th anniversary of the New River through Harringay and Manor House. The one day event will celebrate life along the New River with local food, music, performance, art and more.

Things keep getting better for the Festival. The programme looks better every week. Just today we had confirmation of Arts Council funding for a local composer to write a New River cantata for the festival, rehearse a specially convened local choir and perform it on the day. We've also had confirmation that a specialist company will be designing a fantastic treasure trail of learning and discovery on the day. A sub-group of the organising group is putting together a great programme of music and is working on link-ups with three local venues for music after parties during the evening of the festival.

We've also teamed up with Water AId for the day: 400 years ago, the New River brought badly needed fresh water to the city of London. Today Water AId continue the work in other parts of the world and are delighted to join us for the day.

I'll stop there and keep the festival's powder dry for a bit.
