I know there have been other posts about vets but just wondering if there are any up to date recommendations. We are looking for a lovely, kind vet who loves cats to take a look at our poorly moggy.

I use Metro Vet on Lordship Lane http://www.metro-vet.co.uk Jaco has been fantastic with our 2 cats and very reasonable rates.020 8881 0240
We've always used Hills Veterinary Surgery on Park Rd, Crouch End. Excellent service and they don't try to fleece you.
Thanks all. Good to have a few options to choose from. Knew I could rely on HOL.
We use Goddard Group the Bruce Grove Branch. Always been great in there (also one of the few in London that can treat reptiles).
Mrs Hill of Hills on PArk Road in Crouch end. We call her Dr Doolittle. She is amazing and so is Noni who works in the practise too
Hi all,
I have a cat with FIV which means although he is healthy in general, he is susceptible to struggling with things more regularly or more severely than other cats so it is quite expensive to keep him healthy.
I've been taking him to Dragon Vets and have spent close to £1,000 there in the last 8 months or so, and I'm wondering if anyone would recommend other places on the basis that they simply might be cheaper. Dragon have done a good job and I think they have very skilled vets and staff, but it's adding up.
I don't have insurance as FIV cats are extremely difficult to insure, premiums are high and the existing FIV condition means the majority of things simply aren't covered.
I would really welcome any advice on vets in the area you think might be cheaper (clearly I'm weighing cost versus quality of treatment), and also if anybody has recommendations on insuring FIV cats or advice on helping with costs, I'd appreciate that too!
Tim
