Just wanted to put in a good word for Rakkas, the newish restaurant/bar opposite Harringay GL station, which I visited with some friends on Friday night.
Have many of you guys been along yet? With the warmer weather on its way I can see this place really coming into its own, especially as it must have one of the biggest gardens of any business on Green Lanes: I was really surprised by how much space they have and it's a fantastic spot to sit out on a warm evening (whether or not you want to be tempted by the shisha man and his wares!). The garden is made up to look like a giant cave, with stone all around and a water feature at the end, really fun.
We only sampled a small amount of the food as we were there more for the good vibes (plus the fact that it stays open till 2am on a Friday) but I would definitely go back for more as it was really tasty and amazing value: I also noticed there were a few more vegetarian options than I'm used to seeing in Turkish restaurants and it was all very fresh: the imam bayaldi comes particularly recommended! Service was great and very friendly too.
Was too dark to take pictures on my visit, but I know Hugh has posted some elsewhere.
The live music was also pretty impressive - a great experience overall!

Agree - great food, v attentive staff, & on a couple of occasions a wonderful Greek woman accordionist. Specially good for impressing out-of-town relatives (without spending a fortune).
