The noise in the line was so bad that on one of the occasions I spoke to customer services the representative refunded the month's rental without me even asking for it.
It took me 6 months of calls but in the end they let me go without having to pay penalties for leaving early.
The product is great, as long as nothing goes wrong. The moment you have a problem, then it's a nightmare to get it sorted. The reason behind this is that it continues to be NTL/Telewest.
In case you didn't know, it's not a case where Virgin bought the former company and re-structured, but rather the opposite. The NTL brand name was so damaged because of poor service that they bought the right to use the virgin name but under the name it continued to be the same crap
