Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

At around 16:50 today (Tuesday 14th) I locked my bike up outside Yasar Halim to get some provisions.

I was in the shop for approx 5 minutes and when I came out some f#!$*er had cut through the lock and made off with the bike.

It was a reasonably meaty lock so they must have had some pretty substantial cutters.

If anyone saw anything please let me know - the bike was a black Carrera,

Thanks,

Adam

Damn! Sorry to hear that, thanks for the warning.

I am so sorry to hear this. Bikes are like friends, so it is especially gutting when they are stolen.

Could you tell us what kind of lock it was? A d-lock? A hefty chain?

Thank you - yes very annoying

The lock was one of these...

This happened to me recently too. Have a look at http://www.bikeshd.co.uk/ - It indexes Ebay, Gumtree and other sites for bike sales. You might spot yours there.

Interesting - thank you

Just checked and the site is not working at the moment. Keep on checking though.

Sorry you had your bike stolen    a thief cut through a very substantial padlock on my bike outside the Red Cross Centre in Holloway Road some years ago but more recent events prompt me to issue a further warning   CHECK your insurance policy    very few people (including me!) read the small print   my daughter's bike was in my garage with her partner's very much more expensive one   thieves cut through padlocks on the garage door and on the bikes, took hers then came back the next night and, in spite of new padlocks, took his   it had only been used twice and cost £1,200 but they only coughed up £250 referring me to a clause which read 'guests content £250'    I agree, Adam, that the thieves do have 'pretty substantial cutters'
