I was wondering if anyone was experiencing difficulty in getting a place for their child in this area of N. London? In particular are you having to travel further than you would like?

I appealed although there was never really any point. The only grounds you can appeal on are that the entry criteria have not been applied correctly. You can't, for example, appeal on the grounds that your home doesn't fall within the catchment area of ANY school. Nor can you appeal against which school place is allocated to you when none of your six choices are available. I was told my son's place was at Tiverton - I wasn't given a choice of other schools....
Sorry to hear this. If you wish me to raise your case withthe Council please email me at katherinereece@haringey.gov.uk

Thank you. I will email you this afternoon.
My email to the above address has bounced back to me. Do you have an alternative email address I could send it to....?
So had my son been born one year later and living 0.22 miles from South Harringay he would have been fine. This is all so random and unfair. Is it his fault the catchment area fell to 0.1894 miles in the year he applied....? The only reason he's in 3rd place at Weston Park is because they put in an extra bulge class of 30 places there for Reception last year.....

Wow. NHP's was 0.277 last year and it took us till June to get in on the waiting list; its our nearest school. And West Green was filled too (our 4th choice and what we were offered).
