Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi,

I moved onto the Ladders back in October and when we bought our flat, one of things I said I wanted to do was to paint the front of it to disguise the pebble dash which isn't to my personal taste.  To get this done is around £2000, which is a lot in my mind.

However, over the last few months, I've been looking at the flats up and down the Ladders and thought there might be more people like myself who want to get the front of their flat/house painted.  This got me thinking.  If there was enough people who wanted this service, we could as a community group effectively pitch out the work as a lot job, which would potentially see the price per person tumble.

I wanted to put it out there and see what the response is.  I dont know if this sort of 'group' approach has been tried before but I thought it was worth investigating before I shell out a lot of money.

It makes such a difference to the roads and the Ladders as a whole and if we can get it done at a good rate, it seems to make sense.

Obviously there would be a little work to do to bring this together but willing to do this if there were enough people willing to sign up.

All thoughts welcome.

Cheers, Paul.

We had ours painted 18 months ago and paid a lot less than £2000. We use a Polish guy called Miro to arrange a lot of the building/decorating work both at my home and at my work. He has a team of workers that each perform specific roles. He always gives us a cheap quote 07542 985138
