Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

If you have a moment and would like to help push for a permanent improvement under the Hornsey Railway bridge that would give us wider pavements, proper cycle lanes and slower traffic have a look at the Parkside Malvern Residents Association website where more details are posted and leave a message. Although driven by the above residents association this unpleasant underpass affects many of us on the Ladder travelling to Hornsey, Muswell Hill, Ally Pally, Crouch End etc. and vice versa of course. Thank you!

I know I should have said "motorized" transport.  Even the buses are being driven really fast on the 50 meter long buslane coming down the hill.  I often wonder whether the drivers are trying to make someone fall when they abruptly break at the bus stop.

I do mean everything on wheels with an engine and capable of going too fast. I'm neither in favour nor against these machines and I'm not blaming drivers, not even the lunatics. The point is that this bridge makes every pedestrian/cyclist nervous and speeding machines are part of the problem. So how can we slow the traffic down?

Sorry but I disagree. Having spent much of the past couple of weeks in stationary traffic trying to get through the narrowing at school run times in the afternoon I for one can't wait for the works to finish and normality resume.

Thanks for posting this. It is a horrible road to cycle on or walk next to.

I've posted on the page you've linked to.

Anyone know the state of play re the proposed Hornsey Sainsburies? This road, and the width restrictions caused by the bridge, are one of the main reasons I think it's so idiotic.
