A long shot, but if you were keen enough you could head to St. Thomas's Road, between Finsbury Park and Arsenal tube stations. About 1/2 way down is a property where they've created living space at basement level - you can spot it because the front yard now features a rooflight.. looks good. Might be worth knocking on their door (or the rooflight) to enquire how they found the builders?
