Does anyone know what the premises at 1 Grand Parade (next door to The Salisbury) is going to become? It better not be a betting shop... Thanks for your help!

Well a local Australian wanted to start a cafe in there and the landlord wanted £100K so I don't expect even a betting shop would pay that.

It was a barbers at back and a few old Greek blokes used to meet up at the front for a chat.

Yes it was a premium, not the rent. He was giving me the impression that he was being persecuted because of his nationality but that could just be me as I'm prone to persecuting people just for being Australian too.
