Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

so basically I have been fine since the change over, 2 tvs working fine on digital box,

But last night my main tv said no reception- check attenae- have reprogrammed after switching off and disconnecting everything- rescanned- and no programes found- yet tv in my bedroom fine

I know we have had a lot of wind lately, but doesnt make sense that 1 tv reception is fine, and other not- and no Im not going to scramble onto my roof to check the aerial is ok,as it suggests

It might be worth trying not just switching off, which will probably put the set into standby, but switch off and pull the mains plug for a minute or two so that when you switch on again the set has to boot up from zero. Then scan.

Are the two sets fed from the same aerial ?

You could also try taking the main set to the bedroom to see if it works there. One difficulty with digital is that if the signal is marginal you either get a perfect picture or no picture at all- you don't get the snowy picture as with analogue.

I have already unplugged everything, left it for couple of mins and replugged, tuned- nothing

no i cant try tv in bedroom, tv is bigger than me lol

presume they are fed from same aerial, but how would I know

Can you bring the one in the bedroom down to the living room ? If it works then you have to suspect the big set and not the aerial. Alternatively, I think I have an indoor aerial which may or may not work with the big set. If it did, then your aerial feed is suspect.
