I'm intrigued. I wonder what it is and where it's come from.

It looks like a Peafowl, A Peahen to be specific, unless I'm much mistaken. She doesn't look to be in the best of condition. Look after her, lovely bird.

i cant look after her - we have a cat.. RSPCA don't want to take her and said not to feed her... eeek... any ideas?

This from Twitter:

According to my friend who is a keen ornithologist, it's a Peafowl.

They just said they wouldn't take her and not to feed her? That's rubbish! They seem useless these days! Why did they say not to feed her? Seems like an odd thing to say. Any wildlife parks or petting zoos around?

Any idea where she might have come from? Someone might be really missing her.

yeah, i think someone might be missing her - why i posted this. also posted with the RSPCA and some lost pets website. no idea where shes from.

http://www.specialistwildlifeservices.org/ might be worth a try.

I cannot believe the uselessness of the RSPCA on this one!

RSPCA announced cost cutting measures 2 years ago, just as more people abandon pets during times of 'austerity'

thanks - have emailed them.

If you can't find the owner, I wonder if Freightliners or one of the other city farms would take her?

Feed her up for 4 weeks. She'll make a delightful change from turkey :)

Enfield Wildlife Rescue are very helpful, based in Trent Park www.wras-enfieldwildlife.org.uk Tel 07970 141282
