Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anyone know from where I might be able to get some rotted horse manure for use on a vegetable garden? Cheers

The only one I've used myself is Aldersbrook Riding School. Very well rotted, and lots of it!

Alternatively you could try the various city farms but they've mostly got cow and occasionally some donkey manure. It partly depends on whether you have transport and how much time you want to invest...

Thanks!

When seven sisters was my local tube I used to see a man exercising his horse on Wakeman rd, I think he has a stable there.

Or Ally pally garden centre might sell it?

Wakefield not Wakeham. I havent seen him lately but that could just be me. He's at the far end of Wakefield Rd, at its junction with Townsend Rd, next to a line of garages.

Lea Valley Riding Centre used to give away (or 50p a bag?) horse manure, help yourself, bring your own shovel and bags. By going to the back of the heap it's already pretty well rotted. Makes you really popular with the neighbours.

Sorry, yes Wakefield Rd.

Alternatively you could take a bucket and spade to an Arsenal or Tottenham home game. Lots of horses there.

good idea!

The riding stables in Trent Park (20 minute drive north) gives it away for free - or at least they used to.

Also try Stepney City Farm, not sure they have horse manure, but they distribute loads of other livestock waste, and open at convenient times.
