Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Anyone planning any wallpapering/stripping? Free stuff.

I've just completed some wallpapering in my flat and have a wallpaper steamer, a pasting table, and an unopened wallpapering set (brushes, scissors, cutting wheel etc.) which I no longer need. 

Would anyone like them?

Hi, I'll be doing some wallpaper stripping soon - I've no idea what the process is but if it'll help, I'd be happy to receive the steamer etc. Thanks Nick

Hi both, so it's a little confusing but I think Nicholas replied first - so Nicholas, shall I give you the steamer.  Alex, if you take the table and the wallpapering set and then Nicholas perhaps when you've finished with the steamer you could pass it to Alex?  Sound like a plan?

Hi Nicholas. I once bought a steamer in the belief it would be a magical solution to stripping wallpaper. I was very unimpressed. Would be interested to know, when you get around to it, if you are happy with it as I always wondered if I was doing something wrong.

It's no magic solution but it certainly seemed to help when I was stripping woodchip off my bedroom walls.  Once the room had filled up with steam for an hour or so and it was soaking into the wallpaper, it made quite a bit of difference.

Thanks Somefriendly. I found constantly soaking the paper with water worked best for me. I was just wondering if I had missed some turbo drive button on the steamer.

Actually I'm wallpapering rather than stripping wallpaper, so my need is really for the other stuff (table and brushes etc) rather than the steamer - Nicholas, did you want the other bits and pieces as well? If so, they're yours, but if not, I'd be very grateful for them.
