Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Smokey is back!!!
Hi everyone,
Smokey is back, safe and well. We picked him up this morning near St.Anns Road where a kind gentleman had been taking care of him since last Sunday.
The man, Jim, lives in a flat on the 15th floor and Smokey was sitting on his balcony. He took Smokey in, bought him a big bag of his favourite food and fruit.
He looked for us the whole week, also asking friends and neighbours what to do to find us. It wasn't until a friend checked Gumtree today and saw our ad, and afterwards HOL, that they knew for certain that Smokey was ours.
After receiving a few prank calls in the past week I was a bit sceptic, but this man was certain that it was Smokey he was caring for.
And it was!!!
Such a kind and good soul who took such good care of our Smokey, and we cannot describe how happy we are that he's home.

Aw, how lovely. I was thinking of Smokey today when I was in the garden - we have a cherry tree so I'd been keeping an eye out. So glad he's back!

Hello, I am so glad you found your parrot. we have an african grey girl ,Fleur, and my heart went to you when I read your story. I got back from holiday and tried to find out if you got him back and you did. It would break our hearts if Fleur went like that especially knowing the breed and how childlike they are. all the best. x
