hi tina,
we had the same problem last autumn, and used steve smith (mobile 07967 237 478, home 01733 844573), who was recommended to us by our lovely neighbours across the street. he redid the front part of our roof with lead and did a very nice job (although he wasn't our cheapest quote). i'm happy to chat more about him if that's helpful. doro

N.T. Fursse & Son. Impeccable family-run firm. Will never be the cheapest but you can be certain they will do the best job possible. They recently replaced all the leadwork and flashing on my roof and I'm still finding extra bits they did on the quiet. They also repaired a bunch of guttering without charge and were excellent about coming back and correcting a couple of small things after I'd paid them. Lovely people.

We've just used N T Fursse, and found them to be thorough and effective.
They were not the cheapest, but we were more concerned with getting the job done well, without any damage to a conservatory.

We had some quotes from some really dodgy characters, that were way off the mark both in price and scope of work needed.
Ian gave us a realistic and professional quote, did a fantastic job and cares about getting the job done properly.
So much so, we have used him on two further building projects, both have been excellent. A real find!
