Do you post this every week, Hugh? I'm on the lookout for any plans submitted by my soon-to-be new neighbours.

Makes interesting reading, though - someone in Highgate digging out the basement to put in a gym and swimming pool, while someone on Green Lanes wants to squeeze another single storey dwelling into the garden, no doubt to let out. And I see the old recording studio on Crouch Hill which was set up by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics is to be turned into flats.

Most weeks and usually I highlight any significant Harringay ones. But don't count on me. I can't guaranteed 100% coverage. (Though anm happy to do so for a small search fee! ).

If you look at "Public Services" (from the black tabs above) and then select "Planning" from the drop-down menu, you'll see guidance on how to search for planning applications.

Actually I presume they can't apply for permission until they have officially moved in?

Not necessarily Maddy. The Chairman of a group I was involved in applied for, and received, planning permission to convert commercial premises to a museum. It was only later I found out that he had never contacted the owners of the premises to see how they felt about it . Apparently, I could apply for permission to build a concrete batching plant in your back garden without asking you ( futile though that might be ).

Just to be clear - getting planning permission doesn't mean I could go ahead without buying your land or at least getting your consent.
