A LARGE lorry (bordering on a juggernault) - parked on a ladder street to deliver to the shops on Green lanes. Already double parked because there were no spaces big enough, the driver parked up and walked down to green lanes and got (presumibly) one of the workers of the company he was delivering to, to come in a forklift and they unloaded the delivery from the lorry on the ladder.... Now - what can we do about this? Surely they are not allowed to do this on a residential street?? Can you advise if you know who I should report it to please :)

Were you actually personally inconvenienced by the parked lorry ?
Was actually directing my question at Lisa, Billy, the point being that nobody is going to take any notice of a complaint based on " I don't like it: it shouldn't be allowed ". But her complaint would be much stronger if she can say eg her car was blocked in and she missed a hospital appointment.
I would have thought that the traffic wardens should be dealing with this; during the daytime at least.
Yes - my car was blocked in and I missed a hospital appointmemnt -
I know.... I was very peeved
Who would you email to complain to ?
attention Ann Cunningham
might work. Or - ann.cunningham@haringey.gov.uk
Another relevant factor would be does it happen often - every day for example ?
Photo of offending vehicle showing registration number and company name would be good too.
Lisa, I am very happy to take this up with the parking department and see if there is anything that can be done. I can't make out the name on the road plate in photo but if you want to contact me with more details, company names of the lorries and timings that would be helpful. My email address is karen.alexander.haringeylibdems@gmail.com.
If your hospital appointment related to stress cause by big lorries I think you might really have a case.
You should also check out the weight limit on the road. If there are underground services (gas, water pipes etc) there may well be a limit and these lorries would be breaking that limit.
It's quite likely that there are services which, being a residential street not meant for heavy traffic, could be actually under the road and not under the pavement and not deeply buried.
