Fire at Zam's Fried Chicken
If you happen to notice that Zam's is closed down and the windows white washwed, they're not moving out. There was a fire there the other day which was spotted by an eagle eyed Rob Chau from Tao Sports. Rob said to me "Have you ever seen a fireman work? So impressive".
So a virtual cup of cheer to the guys with the yellow helmets.
No was was hurt in the fire.

Very glad that no-one was hurt, I have to admit to hoping that they decide to now up sticks and move elsewhere - getting rather sick of the sight of discarded chicken bones/polystyrene containers/paper bags on the corner of Seymour Road (which nicely compliment the old cans of special brew and broken wine bottles from the off licence on the other corner )

Seriously, there's no better chicken shop in the area. Prices are kept down, and service up, no doubt, by the sheer number of competitors. Oh that the Salisbury (say) would have to endure such conditions. No, Zams must remain. Best service in the neighbourhood.

Yayyyy! Hope they go out of business! I'm sick to death of tripping over the discarded leftover from their "lovely" customers, as Katy M also said.
They're not good neighbours. At all.

I still hope for my fellow Seymour Road residents's sake that Zam's Pidge is no more, or will take a looooooong time to re-open. That'll put a stop to the littering at the bottom of the road. You have no idea how horrible it looks on a Saturday or Sunday morning...

I really do think that people who wish other people and businesses harm are the wrong doers here. The guys in Zam's are friendly and provide a very good service. They do, after all, have a five star rating which means they have an excellent food hygiene rating. May i point out that it is probably (after all i could be wrong and Anette may have proof to the contrary) not the staff or owners that throw rubbish onto the street at night but it is normally drunken revellers or just plain irresponsible members of the public some of which probably reside in Seymour Road and neighbouring roads. Also not all people want to survive on an organic macrobiotic vegan diet at 2 in the morning when in fact a Halal chicken wing and fries will do the job adequately. I think we should be thankful that the fire wasn't worse and that no one was hurt and that Rob didn't have the attitude of 'let it burn to the ground' when he decided to call the fire brigade. I have an idea Anette why not just pop down to Zam's and suggest they put more rubbish bins or that they make sure the immediate area outside is cleaned at night. Just like a good neighbour would. X

@ easysteve: do you not think Zam's Pigeon has been told to take responsibility and be a good neighbour about a million times? They don't care. If they are so wonderful, why can't they pop out and clean up after their customers? Any responsible business would. But not that lot. Real shame there was not more damage, as they're now open again and the bottom of the road will look horrible again tomorrow morning.
Who eats organic macrobiotic food at 2am? No idea where that came from, but yeah, clearly I must be like that as I dare say anything against the lovely Fried Pigeon shack and don't like wading through discarded chicken bones in the morning. Silly me. Good grief.

BTW any reason why "pigeon" is being spelt thus?
