Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Thought I'd ask locally before web trawling...

I have a requirement to build an XML-based app to pull historical data from the eBay API.

Ideally, I'm after someone registered with the eBay developer program or at least someone with experience of using APIs via XML.

Initially, I'm after some advice on what's involved in getting a particular set of requirements operating along with advice on time and costs. Depending on feasibility - there might be some freelance work in it.

This is for a one-person business on a budget, I generally do all my own web dev - but this level of XML is out of my league.

Know anyone? Thanks.

I can sort this out for you, I've been consuming XML using PHP for a number of years, most notably for the Natural History Museum. I have no experience with ebay's API but XML is XML. give me a shout.

Thanks for the reply Jonathan - appreciated.

I've sent you a connection invite here on Hol.

My understanding is that historical data (as opposed to live data) can be accessed via the dedicated Research API in one of two ways 1) Directly from the eBay API (accessed via multiple languages - JS, XML, etc but charged via the month) or 2) via a free Third-Party API  - which is XML-based.

I may well be wrong - it's these assumptions I need to check first.

Thanks.
