Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Cycle racing league for Haringey Primary schools
North Harringay Primary School found out today that we were successful with a £4,800 bid to set up a cycle racing league for primary schools in Haringey. The grant from Haringey Council will be used to buy bikes, train up children with the skills to race, and stage events in Haringey Parks.
The school racing league is based on a very successful model that has operated in Hackney for the last year and North Harringay has been taking part in. Events take place monthly throughout the school year.
Proposed events will be a time-trial in Finsbury Park, a hill-climb and cyclocross at Ally Pally, and use of the Lorship Loop in Lordhsip Rec.
All schools will be welcome to enter children from years 4, 5 and 6. Please contact me if you know of a school that would like to take part.
