Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Down in town today I came across a big protest against Scientology. Not local, I know, but I couldn't resist posting this photo - a visually effective protest. (Click for a larger image)

Gosh, it seems kinda harsh to protest against a religion.
You might think so, but the French & German governments don't:

France puts Scientology sect on trial

German ministers try to ban Scientology
Don't mention the Germans! :o)
Sorry about this but I live there part of the year with my husband who is an artist and scientology is not thought to be a healthy option. However the German social security system is much friendlier than ours.
Hello Margaret.. my comment was meant "tongue in cheek"

The other two correspondants here understand why...

To set the record straight.. I am not a Scientology supporter and I approve of the Berlin Senate and German Government's moves to ban it...
It's not classified as a religion in most countries, but a sect.
My family in New Zealand are all old Irish Catholics and therefore take it a bit more seriously than those left in Ireland... anyway, my cousin attends the same convent school that her mother and grandmother went to. Her mother was horrified one day (imagine the New Zealand accents) to discover that her daughter had learnt about sex at school, in, of all places, RE! Yes she responded proudly (thuck kuwi accent), we learnt about the differences between sects and cults.
