Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

All

I realise that there are old discussions online but a lot can happen in a year+ so I am looking for new recommendations for a GP.  We are based on the N8 end of the ladder and our GP on Turnpike Lane is retiring and the surgery is closing.  The other surgery on Turnpike Lane Hornsey Park something is getting terrible reviews + I had a very bad experience there some 20 years ago so I don't want to go there.  It is really important for me to find a good reliable GP as my son suffers from a chronic illness so lots of repeat prescriptions etc.  Recommendations would be very much appreciated.  Many thanks!

I've been with the Crouch Hall Road Surgery, just off Crouch End Broadway, since November and although on first sight, it's not a pretty building, I've had good experiences with them.

We are registered with Dr Haas at Bridge House surgery on Umfreville Road. I'm not sure of their catchment now or if they have spaces, I joined 8 years ago and we live off St Annes Road, near to the hospital so quite a distance.

Their appointment system is a nightmare, but if you ring at the right time (8.30 or 2pm) you can get a children's appt the same day. I've seen a few doctors there and they are all very good with the children and I am happy with service I've received too.

Thank you both very much.  I have heard Dr Haas mentioned positively a few times.  I was hoping for someone a bit closer though due to the nightmare of regular repeat prescriptions.

You can now email a repeat prescription to Bridge house, which I tried and it was great. They didn't ring/email me to tell me it's ready, so I did check before I went down. Then Sainsburys told me they would pick it up for me and get it ready, maybe the other local chemists also offer this service?
