Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Husband decided to fix broken dial on oven himself. Unfortunately did not turn off oven first at mains. Instead turned off other stuff. Cue electrocuted husband and smashed oven glass. The dial is still broken.

Need to get it fixed before landlord aka my mother visits on the 19th Sept.

PLEASE help. Happy to reward in cupcakes.

Hello! I can recommend Michael 07534257243 - he's local and reasonably priced. We thought we were going to have to buy a new Bosch oven because ours was completely dead and but Michael fixed it and it has now been working perfectly for over a year. Good luck!

I used to have a Bosch dishwasher and once had to call out a Bosch engineer. It wasn't under warranty but they were excellent - really efficient, helpful and reasonably priced and in fact didn't even charge me the first time they came. Try this link from their website. http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-service/arrange-an-engineer-vi...

Alternatively, try C&G Gas on Green Lanes. Also local, efficient and reasonable, but may not do this kind of repair.

And what about the electrocuted husband? Is he worth fixing?

Beyond fixing, I would have thought.

Can't remember exactly, but I remember thinking both were reasonable. Good luck!
Try espares.co.uk, they are excellent for spare parts and have instruction videos...although it seems in this case DIY repair is not advisable!
Part of the DIY learning process is to electrocute, sand, slice open, hammer and trap various body parts. Falling through the roof, removing limbs and partial building collapse is for advanced users only.
