Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

hi, the other evening i was walking down crouch hall road in broad daylight when i tripped over a pavement slab that was a good inch higher than its neighbours. A very bad fall, two duck eggs on forehead, black eye, split lip, both knees badly damaged, thumb joint swollen etc etc. Have to drink though a straw at the moment.

As i was helped home we noticed that all the pavement down the road is uneven, seems to be loosing a battle with the tree roots. I thought there use to be regular inspections to keep the pavements safe, or is this a think of the past??

oh that would probably take up so much time, visits to doctors, statements etc. i am about to start radiation therapy and am trying to cast off tasks rather than take more admin on

i dont think the cancer department is that interested in minor injuries, and that is a week away. I have dressed and treated the wounds myself and dont realy want to go to the doctor. People say the council would pay just to keep me quiet but it would be just another headache trying to persue it. Its better to stay in bed licking my wounds.

my husband did take a photo of the pavement, but more to shut up the personal injury lawer that seemed to appear from nowhere pressing his details onto us. All i wanted to do was get home and get out of my torn and bloodstained clothes.

Making a claim against this injury is the only way you can benefit others who come after you along that pavement.
