There are a number of vehicles blessed with traffic warden invisibility cloaks on Green Lanes:
Outside the house north of the New River bridge
Outside the taxi firm north of Manor House Station
Outside the shops on the south corner of Stoke Newington Church Street
Every day as I cycle to work I am forced out of the cycle lane and into the path of oncoming killer lorries by these monsters. Every day I think I must post about this on HOL. Please can we have a reponse from the traffic wardens (or whatever they call themselves these days) as to why this is happening?

Seconding these two in particular. The New River parking is dangerous for cyclists as motorists accelerate up the hill from the junction. And the cars in the space right on the curved kurb before the refurbished kebab shop at Manor House always cause a delay to the 141 and the 341 as they wait to swing out of lane to swing back in to the bay. There's often someone peering out of the kebaberie window to check on the vehicle and I once saw him interceding with a traffic warden about a car parked on that spot (I think promising to move it).
We have rasied this matter with the Parking Services Department but note that the red van is parked on a single yellow line and the photo appears to have been taken at 2132hrs. Single yellow lines only apply between 0800hrs and 1830hrs in Haringey unless otherwise stipulated. This link explains yellow lines

I said he's there all the time. There's a bus stop right behind him. When he's there illegally during the day he leaves the back of the doors open as if he's unloading.
Given the zealousness with which OnTime pursue the good citizens of Harringay when they forget to renew their parking permits I did wonder if there was something the Police could perhaps investigate about this.
Most days recently there's been a silver mercedes parked in the bike lane outside the houses just north of the New River.
Really bloody annoying that these arseholes get away with this day after day. I'm really tempted to stick a brick through the windscreen.
I pestered Ontime twice to give the van a ticket in the weekend, it was parked there all day with the back doors open and/or the hazard lights on, but as far as I can tell they did nothing.
Very frustrating considering the terror that the end of May can cause in our household "Did you renew the parking permit?!".
