Young woman attacked on seven sisters road at alleyway leading to overbury rd

"My flat mate was attacked last night at the top of the ally near the seven sisters road entrance to the warehouses by a Turkish looking guy with short spiky hair and wild looking eyes. I know it is not the best description but please to all women reading this be careful there is a person out there targeting women between the hours of midnight onwards.
Would suggest you have a handy phone number of someone around that knows about the situation and can respond quickly. Carry your keys in your hand etc......"

Omg, I had no idea this had been going on., thanks for the heads up. TBH I'm a bit shocked tbh that I live within spitting distance of here and nobody locally was warned of what look to be repeat incidents other than online...would you mind clearing up whether this actually happened ON 7SR or down Overbury itself?
This is a real worry as many people use the routes between 7SR and Green Lanes as a useful shortcut to Sainsbury's and other local amenities. I for one really don't want to be forced into taking two five minute bus journeys when there's a perfectly good shortcut that makes far more sense. But it really worries me that there are idiots out there who think they can treat women like this :(

I am so sorry that two neighbours have suffered and hope they read this site and know we are wishing them well. I live on Vale Road and have had concerns about the safety of the roads east of Linkway and north of Hermitage for sometime. These parts of Eade and Vale Roads are constantly used at night by massive lorries as a car park, sex workers and car races. I frequently have to step over used condoms and endure the leers of lorry drivers on my way to work. I trust that the police will now look into ceasing this activity and ensuring our safety.

*nod* I've been curb-crawled there in the early evening in winter. Very upsetting at the time - but I refuse to be put off using it during the daytime. There's simply no other obvious way to get from that part of 7SR to Green Lanes (which I need to do regularly) without major hassle. If only they'd run buses down there!

Ah OK - I've not been down there but the time I got leered at by lorry drivers was along the bigger road (Eade Rd?) and I did feel quite threatened at the time.

I'm still compiling info Abi, it seems that there has been a spate of pursuits and attacks of women around the alleyway and on seven sisters road of late. Several linked to a turkish looking man with spiked up hair. Will circulate local agencies and the councillor.

Hi Abi,
I live in one of the warehouse communities about half a mile away from this vicinity, we have recently connected via a facebook page covering all the warehouses in manor house and the repeating nature of the attacks has only now come to light as more people are commenting.
