Umut Motors at the end of Vale Road are great, been keeping my ancient puegot on the road for ages and have promised to find me a "new" used car once it finally dies

Hi Mara,
I have used a very good mechanic on Mattison Road, Manos at Autotech,-he is pleasant helpful and capable. His number is 0208 3484554. A good price check would be to see what the AA charges now for the same job.
if you know what kind of car you want , mechanics will sometimes help you find it.

Manos at autotec mechanics mattison road today fixed the front of my car back on after a bus sliced it off. He charged me 30 pounds when i thought it would be at least 100. Very pleasant man i highly recommend him to anyone needing an honest capable car mechanic.

I've used Manos on Mattison Road as well, and happy to recommend him. I actually went round to his son's MOT garage on St Ann's Road first, and was sent to see Manos. Manos fixed my car (also ancient Peugeot) and then when I said I needed an MOT, and that i would take it round to his son's place, Manos said: "No, don't do that, I can do it cheaper!"

My reccomendation for local car mechanic/MOT etc.

Today, weds 19th jan 2011: Again Manos did a great job on my car repairs and came in well under normal price. He's also a nice person to deal with.

Hello, speak to John at George's Garage in St Andrew's Grove (off Fairholt Road) . He is incredible, there seems to be nothing he doesn't know and he is very friendly AND reasonable prices. What more can you want? He's been rescuing me for fifteen years.

Still looking for a mechanic? Last few times we've needed someone, we used J T F Motor Services on Lordship Lane, just at the top of Bruce Grove.

JTF Motor Servicing Ltd, 125 - 127 Lordship Lane.  020 8880 9488.  I've been going to this garage for a couple of years now.  They're friendly, polite, efficient, really good and really well priced.  I put my car in for an MoT last October.  I dropped the keys off in the evening, had a call lunchtime the next day asking me if I wanted them to go ahead and replace one tyre and a bulb.  I *think* it came in at just over £100; included the MoT.
