Apparently the old police station on Wood Green High Street may soon be demolished, (for those of you who, like me didn't know, it's on the corner of High Street and Nightingale Road).

It's not very creative is it? The existing building is Edwardian and adds character to a poor townscape. Surely it should have some protection on it? Can Haringey Council not just change it's use to something else, even residential. It overlooks a nice park so there would be demand, even if the road is very busy. Surely there is another brownfield site around for this carbuncle/ police use? Local residents should object
Yes good point about locating the station elsewhere but I guess it would then mean thousands of Met staff and thousands of public getting used to a new address. Bureaucratic efficiency, if there's such a thing!
