Just been diverted away from West green Road on my cycle home. Police taped off from the Black Boy Lane mini roundabout.

 

Does the hive mind know yet what the cause is?

sad to say a 14 year old boy has been stabbed and killed this afternoon. Two others whom police believe were also 14 years old were stabbed and injured

I've just found out the boy who was killed was the best friend of my friend's son - he was also involved in the fracas, along with several others, some of whom got hurt as well. trying to protect his friend. It's appalling.

Unrelated, apparently, as a young man was arrested at the scene in Hermitage Rd.

It sounds horrendous, they have arrested a man in his 20s but one 14 year old died and three were hurt. BBC story here:

A man in his 30s now apparently - this whole thing sounds horrific. Also there have been some very odd rumours on Facebook about a 'man on the loose' but I'm sure they are bunkum

I saw the reference to the facebook comments on Twitter - apparently the comments have now been retracted.

A quick update

Sgt Tim Hannah ( St Ann's Ward Safer Neighbourhoods Team) has just called me to let me know that the incident yesterday afternoon was "Not Gang Related" to put some peoples minds at ease?
He will let me know more as soon as he knows more officially - then I will forward onto you.

What are you after? It definitely wasn't gang related. I thought that had been well established. Apparently the boy killed was an ex student of South Harringay and a lovely kid, there are a lot of distraught teenagers around.
