Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We had a wheel stolen from our car last night. Not sure how they undid the locking nuts, which we are told should be unique to each set of wheels. Now worried they may come back for the others. Any advice welcome.

Wow! Make/model/year/approximate location?

My advice would normally be "don't park there again" but I assume that's not an option.

Buy a new set of locking nuts from Halfords!

Park near a well lit area if possible.

If your car is quite new, then call customer services for the manufacturer, and tell them that their locking nuts are woefully inadequate, and demand that they fund the replacement wheel and cost of a set of decent locking nuts from Halfords. Worked for me when a spare was stollen from the tray underneath my father's new Citroen a few years back (car not fit for sale in a metropolitan area where such crimes are common place etc.).

Good luck!!

Thanks for the replies. Car is a Mondeo parked on Seymour Road. It was parked under a street lamp!
