Four men burst in to Erbiller jewellery store on Green Lanes and sprayed pepper spray in the eyes of two staff before grabbing rings, necklaces and earrings at about 5.45pm on Thursday, December 23.
Sales assistant Melahat Atma, 26 struggled with the men, but one broke free and the other punched her in her side while the others stole the jewellery inside.
All four made off down Duckett Road with a haul including two gold watches, two diamond bracelets, five gold necklace and earrings sets, and "seven or eight" diamond rings, said Mrs Atma.
It is thought two cars were used to ferry the gang to the shop from the Manor House end of Green Lanes, but one was abandoned in Duckett Road with some jewellery left in the back.
Just three months earlier, on September 19, four men were involved in a bungled robbery at the same store, fleeing empty-handed when manager Cetin Erbilm confronted them.
Student Emanuel Namerud Fekadu, 19, of Gloucester Road, Tottenham, was sentenced to 20 months in a young offenders’ institution after he was tackled to the ground by Mr Erbilm and members of the public. The other three men remain at large.
Anyone who witnessed the robbery or who has any information is asked to contact the Flying Squad, based in Finchley, on 020 8358 1751.
To remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
