Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The f word is calling, on behalf of Olivia Bailey the NUS national women’s officer, for women to protest outside the office of the Lib Dem Minister for Women and Equalities, Lynne Featherstone.

This will be one action as part of their wider National Day of Action protesting the increase in tuition fees.

Those wanting to join the action should meet at;

Time:11am
Date: Wed 8th December
Location: outside Lynne Featherstone’s Office near Crouch End, 62 High Street, London, N8 7NX (this is actually off Hornsey High St). Streetview.
Other detail: Come with whistles, banners, Sashes, Suffragette colours (Purple, Green, White) and Suffragist colours (Green, Red, White).

The office is above the Three Compasses pub. Has everyone seen these press releases on Lynne Featherstone's website?

Ah, the hazards of Hansard bear no comparison to the blizzards of blog keeping. They'll catch you up sooner or later. I suppose if ones physiology changes every seven years one shouldn't be pilloried in 2010 for glibly blogged convictions/principles/politics of 2003.
Passed by there today. There was a fairly good crowd of about 40-50 protestors outside Ms Featherstone's office. Nationally though the NUS call for protest met with fewer participants this time. Maybe because the Lib Dems have been publically squabbling over how to vote tomorrow at parliament.
Deputy leader of LibDems, Simon Hughes, announces he will abstain on todays education vote, possibly voting against, as requested by his local party group.
