Is this where planning applications go? A note pushed through our door today.
Written notice to residents of Umfreville: ref HGY/2010/2108, dated November 15 2010
quote: "Location, 2A Umfreville Road. Proposal, erection of a 2x3 bedroom two-storey dwellinghouse with associated landscaping. This letter is about a planning application on a property near you. An application has been received by this Council for the development described above...."

Having spent the first four years of my Harringaylife (1976-'80) as a tenant of No 13 Umfreville, I'm glad to see that eyesore diagonally opposite is to be replaced with a pair of houses to finish the Odsey Villas terrace - however tight the squeeze.
Nevertheless, Martin Moser of Atterbury Road seems to have a valid objection to the proposed use of the rear access if he has had the use of this dubious alley for a dozen years. Indeed from the drawings the proposed parking spaces seem to extend well beyond the Odsey Villa garden boundaries, encroaching on what should be Atterbury rear space.
