Kindness of strangers
With all the bad press that London gets from certain areas of the press/politics I think we need to celebrate the good in London.
Following on from a phone theft (these things happen everywhere) - the kindness of strangers was overwhelming. From people who offered their phones to call home, to Hannah - on the ladder (on the number 29 bus Saturday night) who went out of her way - it made the whole sorry experience a lot less traumatic.
Thank you to those who helped and others who help strangers when in need.

Sorry to hear of your situation and the uplifting 'kindness of strangers', but it has made me think. Although we still keep a landline, I cannot remember any other mobile number other than my own, which, with the loss of a mobile and its internal directory would be even more of a problem. From now on I'll keep a separate list of important numbers when I'm out.
