So funny. In 2017 he called him a kkk supporting Nazi....bit rich coming from a genocide supporter...
It is not possible that he remains in post for much longer. As the moustachiod man from Tottenham says, Lammy can try to hang on to the further detriment of the UK's most important relationship or he can apologise, upset his core base and risk his sinecure as MP. The only logical solution is for Starmer to sack him. However, Starmer hasn't displayed a backbone to date so I expect the farce to continue and for the government to simply collapse.
The Trump victory is the culmination of a gradual shift away from the left across the western political landscape. Centrist and right parties are regaining power as electors reject the globalist trends and identitarian divisions that have been given priority in recent years. Focus is shifting to fixing the problems faced by the majority of people (housing, taxes, crime, public services, cultural cohesion) and managing the uncontrolled immigration which is inextricably linked to those challenges. The election of the Labour government was the tail end of the previous phase which will no doubt be corrected in 5 years if not before. Lammy is still fighting old battles and while he may still be, at least to a certain extent, aligned to the views of his electoral base, he is out of step with the thinking of the wider British population. He'll have to go as part of Starmer's first reshuffle preceding the inevitable changing of the deck chairs.
