Harringay landmark The Salisbury has started its year with the accolade of being named in the top ten of Time Out's new best pubs in London list.
The review said,
It is not unusual when frequenting London pubs to share both furniture and personal space with strangers. In this grand old building at the north end of Green Lanes you barely have to share bar staff: it's absolutely massive. Taxidermy cases and ornate cornicing decorate the central, beer-focused bar, and drinkers take their pick from private booths, fireside armchairs or more sociable clusters of tables and chairs in one of two huge spaces.
If you're expecting company you might want to alert them to your whereabouts with some kind of flare. A jukebox plays music in the main room and a projector plays sport in the second, but apart from its architecture the main reason for a trip to the Salisbury is for a peaceful pint with extensive elbow room.
Commenting on the award, the pub said,
We are really proud to feature in Time Out's list. A huge thank you to Time Out, to our customers and above all to our team, who all work hard to make our pub such a special place for the Harringay community. Here’s us raising a glass to our joint success.
Coming hot on the heels of the Standard's write-up of Harringay last month, the London press seems to be having something of a love-in with our neighbourhood this year.

Not on the site. I added an article to Wikipedia in 2007 which is still there. Hopefully that'll be enough for you for now.
Back in 2010, I screen-recorded an estate agent's virtual tour of the pubs's first floor. Then recently in use as a church. Since converted to flats.
Thank you Hugh!
