So from what I can gather online... Huggamug, the shisha lounge and burger place next door, is behind it.

They have closed and are expanding into the next two units to become Noya London.

I've only been into Huggamug a couple of times over the years, as I don't smoke shisha, however the staff are always really friendly.  So I'm pretty hopeful.

Also apparently there is going to be a new branch of trendy pizza outlet Yard Sale opening next to Perkyns, further down West Green Road.  So an exciting start to 2023 for the Harringay end of WGR.

Interesting. Usually the meatheads behind these shisha / burger lounges (Rakkas, The Banc) just peddle sub-mediocre food in   a tasteless ‘fake millionaire’ setting usually designed to appeal to aspiring gangsters / self appointed ‘bad boys’ in tracksuits (evidenced by the Escobar latte accompanied by a mock plastic bag of white powder.)

Maybe it will result in something more enlightened but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Places like Dusty Knuckle, Pasero, Perkyns, True Craft are the real bright spots and long may they last.

I'll ignore the negative stereotyping and simply say I think most us welcome the rebirth of a West Green Road that appeals to, and caters for, all different sections of our neighbourhood.

Not simply our own tastes.

Agree on some aspects - so long as these establishments don’t come with a side dish of illegal/antisocial activity which is very much the (documented) case for the ones I referenced. Obviously not a fan of the chav-tastic decor etc or the food but to each their own.

Huggamug always looked quite nice from the street compared to other places, though I never went in as shisha holds absolutely no appeal!
