Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Our lodger has just finished a dressmaking course at Florentia Clothing Village and is keen to practice the new skills she's learned. My old and very basic IKEA machine is not up to much any more, so I wondered if anyone has a machine they don't use any more that they could lend us, or I could buy from you if you'd prefer to sell it.

I'm on Warham Rd and can pick up locally.

I have a machine that may be suitable, old Frister & Rossman metal body. It only does straight and zigzag though, no fancy hemming or stretch stitch. If this doesn’t rule it out, I’ll give you more details.

Thanks for taking the time to reply - she'd like to practice all the stitches she learned so I don't think this one would be suitable but I really appreciate you offering it.

My wife has a Brother xn1700 bought in 2020 from John Lewis (they still sell it). Beginner friendly and fully functioning, has all the accessories etc. Looking to sell for £50 as recently upgraded to a bigger specialist machine. We're on the ladder if you want to see /try it.

Have sent a connection request :)
