Hello, wondered if anyone had any advice about transfers (in this case Verona airport to Salo, Lake Garda) and also on insurance deals. I often find companies dealing with over 60s assume people have umpteen medical conditions and charge so much more if we are on any meds at all.
Re both issues realise there will be loads on the internet but would really appreciate some quality recommendations/advice.

For airport transfers I book through booking.com - easy and good value, and will take you right to your hotel etc.
Thanks - do you pay upfront or the usual booking.com thing of paying at the time....? Did you investigate others as booking hotels direct is usually cheaper than booking.com?
When I last used booking.com it was cheaper than booking direct with the hotel or from the airport. If you go onto the booking.com home page then airport taxis is the last button along at the top
For over 70s travel insurance have a look at the advice and recommendations on Money Saving Expert. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/over65s-travel-insurance/
Thanks, will look.
Airport transfers not listed on Booking.com.
Avoid Stayshure they have a dreadful record for settling up if you have a claim & they are big on over 60s
Thanks. Interesting that this form is what some friends recommended!
I used staysure a few years ago, after a friend recommended them, as very cheap, and easy to sign up. But we never needed to claim. Have never used them again, as all the reviews say they don’t pay out. So avoid
as for transfers. I usually add it to my hotel booking, I mostly use loveholidays. Although I have since found out lot of places, it’s the same just to jump in a cab at the airport or even an uber
